About Basu Ratnam: 

Basu is the founder and CEO of a Indian inspired restaurant group. INDAY launched in 2016 in New York City has 5 locations in Manhattan and is expanding in to new markets in the coming months. In April 2020, INDAY quickly pivoted its restaurants to serve thousands of meals to local health organizations and hospital networks. During India’s second wave in 2021, Basu organized a series of in person fundraisers and a global restaurant campaign to raise over $900k for emergency food rations, ventilators and direct relief in India. 

Prior to founding INDAY Basu was an investor at Sycamore Partners, a consumer and retail focused private equity fund with $3.5B under management. Basu graduated with a B.A. from Brown University, where he was the Captain of the Ivy League Champion Men’s Tennis Team. Basu resides in lower Manhattan, and has a love for food, wellness and social impact.
